I would favor the imposition of the death penalty upon conviction of certain crimes, such as murder for hire, murder of a law enforcement officer and prison officials and guards in the performance of their duties, murder committed in the course of kidnapping or abduction, murder committed during the course of a rape and murder by torture.
It appears likely that a death penalty bill containing at least some of these provisions will be passed by the 1975 General Assembly.
