BASEBALL coach Preston Douglas was named Coach of the Year, also, and likewise given an engraved plaque from Skyline District. Neither of the coaches were aware of the honor until the presentations.
Receiving certificates in JV Girls basketball were Mae Dunn, Eleanor Philips, Patricia Mahoney, Connie Del Grosso, Rhonda Estes, Mary Jqrdan, Joyce Smoot, Sandra Hudson, Sharon Grigsby, Jackie Myers. Mae Dunn was given the Most Valuable Player award.
Girls Varsity basketball found Carolyn Dodson, Sharon Poster, Diane Freeman, Margaret Dunn, Violet Scott, Faye Dunn, Mollie Dennis and Marie Fletcher with certificates and letters. Marie Fletcher was named most improved player and Mollie Dennis, Most Valuable Player, Miss AnnSpieker is coach of these groups.
