confession heard

An excess of confessed murderers has developed in the shooting of James Gatewood of Washington which took place May 8 at Pine Knot Inn. Marvin Renzie of near Amissville is presently being held on $10,000 bond for the slaying. The 18-year-old youth confessed after Maurice Ausberry of Flint Hill, who had claimed at the death scene to be the one who did the shooting, told authorities that he was covering up for Renzie. Ausberry was released and the new suspect charged. □

The monthly meeting of the Flint Hill Ladies Auxiliary will be June 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall.L

Mrs. Emory Russell entertained the Flint Hill Bridge Club Monday incher home. Prizes were awarded Mrs. J.S. Browning, Mrs. T.L. Eastham, Mrs. Earl Edmonds and Mrs. Tom Massie. Others playing were Mrs. J.R. Latham, Mrs. James Massie, Mrs. Frank Spalding, Mrs. G.W. Smith, Mrs. L.B. Burford, Mrs. W.A. Moore, Mrs. B.J. Wood and Mrs. Paul Miller.L.
