She was named to the All District Team along with Katie Pendleton, Maureen Day and Connie DelGrosso. Maureen placed second—the high jump at the state meet.
Other track team members are Cheryl Brown, Donna Cannon, Rhonda Clark, Margaret Dunn, Patricia Mahoney, Christine Nicholson, Carolyn Dodson, Mae Dunn, Faye Dunn, Marie Fletcher, Mary Hudson, Margaret Jett. The junior varsity girls track team, undefeated in District competition was recognized by Miss Spieker.
Miss Spieker is also girls track coach and was given a watch and a silver tray by her athletes.
