In Varsity basketball, lettermen included Andy Nichols, Mike Smoot, Mike Tupper, Dale Frye, Cecil Smoot, Larry Brown, Donnell Carter, Aubrey Frye, Barry Adkins. Dale Frye was named Most Valuable and Donnell Carter Most Improved basketball players. Other team members were Steve Payne and Kevin Raney. Preston Douglas is the Coach.
Douglas also noted the excellent service by team managers Jimmy Swindler and Roger Smoot, and said Mike Smoot received honorable mention in the All District lists.
