Our case was designed and presented with a far greater purpose than merely rerouting the line off the Harris land onto the land of his neighbors. The use of existing corridors rather than anyone’s virgin land whenever need for new transmission capacity is established was obviously beyond his personal interest and support.

We turn our attention now to mounting an appeal to Virginia’s Supreme Court. RLEP’s quarterly public meeting on Friday, June 6 (8 p.m. at the Rappahannock Courthouse) will be devoted, at least in part, to a review of the entire project and forecast for an appeal.
