THE Rappahannock Ski Corporation has petitioned federal district court for approval of the sale of the ski area northwest of Washington. The Ski Corporation is proposing to sell the land in two tracts.
One tract of 40.6 acres would be sold to Edgar A. Brenner for $500 an acre. Brenner already owns land adjoining the ski area. The remaining tract of approximately 300 acres would be sold to Donald W. Weil, trustee, and others, for the sum of $550,000.
James A. Moore, president of the Ski Corporation, said that neither sale agreement has been concluded. The Rappahannock Ski Corporation would use the proceeds from the sale of the 40-acre tract,
