Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Bea Brown of Culpeper and a brother, Dudley Heflin of Florida.
She was a member of the Five Forks Regular Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were Wilson Burke, Chester Wayland, Lester Wayland, James Settle, Weldon Burke, Charles Dodson, Marshall Burke and Paul Hawkins.□
Copperthite
Andrew J. Copperthite, 71, a former resident of Rappahannock County, died May 3, 1975 after a long illness. When he lived at Windwood Farm, in Castleton, he raised cattle and later bred and raced thoroughbred horses at neighboring West Virginia tracks.
He worked in the U.S. Air Force as a wage analyst before retiring in 1964 and was a member of the Washington Centennial Masonic Lodge No. 14.
Survivors include his wife Christine S. Copperthite of Centreville; two sons, Robert C. of Alexandria and Andrew J. of Springfield; a daughter, Laura V. Reilly of Centreville; a brother, Harry S. of Culpeper and seven grandchildren. □
