I was struck by Hess’ comparison of American agribusiness and Soviet collective farming because of its obviousness, so easily clouded by our conventional wisdom distinctions between the American and Soviet economic systems. How can we possibly claim free enterprise when a very small number of corporations exist? A British-based international corporation owns a sizeable hunk of American Appalachia!
I may not agree totally with anyone, Mr. Dilley, but my weight of belief is solidly behind Mr. Hess. I’m skeptical of your perceptiveness!
