The Sperryville United Methodist Church was the setting for the 6 o’clock ceremony July 26, 1975, uniting in matrimony Miss Charla Ann Sisk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Sisk of Sperryville, and David Morrow Cordle, son of Mrs. W.H. Cordle of Sperryville and the late Mr. Cordle.
The Rev. Malcolm P. Maples performed the double ring ceremony before a candlelit altar with white gladioli and pompons. A program of traditional wedding music was presented by the organist, Miss Nancy Woodward, cousin of the bride.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was seen in a formal gown of polyester trimmed with embroidered lace featuring a high neckline and bishop sleeves. She wore a picture hat trimmed with embroidered lace and carried a white prayer book covered with white roses and miniature carnations. t Miss Marylie Williams of Greenville, N.C. served as maid of honor and was attired in a green floral print gown of cotton voile with a V-neckline and bishop sleeves. She wore a green picture hat and carried a bouquet of green daisies.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Marna H. Mayo of Hampton. She wore a yellow chiffon gown designed like that of the maid of honor, a yellow picture hat and carried a bouquet of white daisies.
Bridesmaids were Janis Horne of Williamsburg and Carolyn MacDonald of Chesterfield. Their gowns were pink floral print and they wore pink picture hats. Each carried a bouquet of pink daisies.
Cheryl Hamons of Hanahan, S. C., cousin of the bride, served as flowergirl.
