JENKINS REUNION

The annual reunion of the descendants of the late Alfred and Katherine Gearing Jenkins of Rappahannock will be held Sunday, August 10, at the Sperryville firehall. All relatives and friends are invited to attend and bring a picnic basket.□

Dean's list

Two students from Rappahannock were named to the spring semester honor’s list at Ferrum College. They are Miss Cheryl Poling of Amissville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Poling and Thomas G. Taylor of Sperryville whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Taylor.

The honors list at Ferrum is composed of students who have received grades of “B” or better in all academic subjects for the semester and have an average of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0.□

Morris Donaldson of Huntly, a sophomore at Virginia Tech, was named to the dean’s list during the spring quarter. He is an English major.

To make the dean’s list at Tech, a student has to make a 3.4 average or better in the University’s 4.0 grading system. A 3.4 average is the equivalent to a middle B average.
