Lean Ballet Company. The students were fascinated by the internationally famous dance techniques of Mikhail Baryshnikov and by the flawless performance of the younger dancer Marianna Tcherkassky who substituted for Gelsey Kirkland in the title role. Wakefield’s ballet instructor, Mrs. Sandar Massie, said that the trip was particularly beneficial to the students who are preparing for their own dance recital on June 11.
Costumes for that performance will be purchased with the proceeds of the “Fads, Fashions, Fancies” fashion show to be given at the school on Saturday, April 10, at 2:30 p.m.D
