Don Askew said he reviews his budget every year with the Board of Supervisors, and does the best he can. He says he has a “flexible,” six-year improvement plan which is also reviewed every year.
SUPERINTENDENT Butch Eastham wanted to be sure Askew hadn’t forgotten about Chester Gap, Askew said Hie work there was too tough for his road crews to handle, and that this job would have to be contracted out.
Jim Massie suggested that clipping of tall grass around intersections be given a high priority, for safety’s sake, and Askew said his entire budget for grass clipping has been increased this year.
