Jennifer Raney and Courtney Jones were among the Girl Scouts who attended the Bicentennial State meeting of Scouts held Saturday in Blacksburg. They are members of Cadette Troop 380. During this year an all out effort is being • made to interest more youths in the scouting programs. These girls are working on badges in recognition of our “young country striving for independence and success as our land of the free.” Cadettes will be selling Girl Scout cookies at Bradford’s Store in Flint Hill this weekend. This picture was taken in the authentic 18th century kitchen which Miss Ruby Jenkins has restored at Washington.
