At a mass meeting of Rappahannock Democrats held Saturday at the courthouse in Washington Mrs. George H. Davis Jr. Washington, Mrs. Pearl Clarke of Ammissville and Vernon Scott, Castleton, were chosen as delegates to the Seventh District convention in May. Mrs. Pauline Bruce of Washington was selected as an alternate to the convention.
These delegates will go uncommitted to the convention, which will be held May 22 in Charlottesville at the Albemarle High School. At this time delegates will be chosen from the Seventh District to be representatives at the Democratic National Convention in New York City July 12-17.
The Rappahannock delegates will also attend the State Convention in Norfolk May 29.
