RAPPAHANNOCK County government is operating within its current budget in most areas, according to information supplied by department heads to Supervisor Chairman Pete Luke. “Everybody is under their budget allocation,” Luke reported at last Thursday’s meeting of the Rappahannock Supervisors, except die Sheriffs Department and possibly the welfare office.
Luke wrote to all the department heads requesting the budget information after last month’s accounts showed the Sheriff’s department mileage figures running $75 to $100 over allocations.
