30 children and teenagers carried out a program of some 15 different acts to the.delight of a full house in the Rappahannock Elementary School. Prize money of $75 was awarded giving both performers and audience a keen sense of satisfaction.
The annual pit-cooked barbecue, held on July 3rd again offered the community a time of good fellowship, a chance to eat as much as one wished and an opportunity to enjoy a country auction. The homemade desserts were highlighted by distribution of champion pie recipes. One hundred dollars was given to a high ranking graduateof this year’s Rappahannock High School toward her college expense.
