Rappahannock County Lady Panthers did not fare well in the final week of Skyline District basketball. Page County defeated the J.V. and Varsity squads at RCHS.
J.V. Lady Panthers fell to the Page J.V. by a score of 38-15. Contributing point wise were Janice Aylor and Jackie Myers with 8 and 3 points, respectively.
Page County’s Varsity team hern the Lady Panthers to a loss by the score of 74-47. Peanut Mahoney paced the Lady Panthers with 13 points while Eleanor Phillips and Rhonda Estes gave 10 points to Rappahannock’s cause.
J.V. Lady Panthers came bacK in the next game and cruised to a 30-20 victory over Luray. Janice Aylor was high scorer with 18 points. Jackie Myers chipped in with 6 points, while Sandy Hudson aided with 4 points.
RCHS Varsity Pantherettes fell in defeat to Luray 52 to 28. Peanut Mahoney, Mae Dunn, and Jamelle Prudham chalked up 10, 6, and 5 points, respectively.
