Superintendent Robert R. Jacobsen has announced that approximately 500 acres of land lying one mile southeast from Front Royal in Harmony Hollow were recently included within the boundaries of Shenandoah National Park. This land was formerly administered by the old Beef Cattle Research Station. Although the exact new boundary will be established by a survey, Park Rangers have marked its approximate location with official metal Park boundary markers.
This new land addition is located south of Route 522 from immediately east of the Rappawan Lumber Company to the junction of Route 522 and west of State Route 604 from that junction to the south side of the Treasury
