A Remington automatic shotgiin offered by the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department has been presented to Russell Clatterbuck of Culpeper. A case of shells went to Jerrel Dwyer of Sperryville. Fire Chief Pete Estes expressed thanks to everyone who made donations to the promotion, “with special thanks to those who worked so hard to make this project a success.”□

The public is invited to attend Everybody’s Birthday Party, sponsored by the First Baptist Church Sunday School, on Saturday, November 20, at 6 p.m. Bring a gift to exchange with your birthday mate, it was suggested.
The hostesses and hosts are Miss C.A. Williams, Clarence Dearing (Fall), Mrs. Ethel Bailey, McCoy Williams (Winter), Mrs. Julia E. Boddie, Lewis Butler, Miss Angela Grigsby, Michael Carter (Spring), and Arthur Gatewood (Summer).
Entertainment will be provided by the Angelic Chorus of Rappahannock County. Refreshments will be served. □
