started down Williamsburg’s sidewalks. The brisk morning air on that perfect day for a walking tour helped pop eyelids open when I was sure we’d all need toothpicks to look alert.
First stop was the musician's shop where a gentleman in colonial garb treated us to a mini-concert on a harpsichord. As in each business and building that we visited, we heard a little talk on colonial life before the kids were invited to ask questions. In between stops, our tour guide kept us entertained with educational commentary on what it was like to live in the Virignia colony in the 1970’s.
After the musician’s shop, it was off to hear how wealthy Virginia gentlemen kept up with the latest in hair fashions. At the wlggery. a colonial dame demonstrated how wigs were painstakingly made, a layer at a time, from
