1 cup butter
1 cup sweet milk
5 eggs
3l/j cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 Tablespoons lemon extract.
First beat egg white separately. Cream butter and sugar well. Beat egg yolks well. Add to sugar and butter mixture. Add flour and baking powder alternately to milk. Add 2 tablespoons lemon extract. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in 325 degree F. oven for IVi to l3/« hrs., depending on oven.
