Allen

Mrs. Alice Ann Allen, 78, of Winchester, died Jan. 29, 1979 in Winchester Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were held Friday from Mount Olive Baptist Church at White Post, conducted by the Rev. Herman Toms. Interment was in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery at White Post.

Mrs. Allen was born Dec. 2S, 1900, in Amissville, daughter of the late Robert Carey and Annie Phillips Carey. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard Eugene Allen; one daughter, Virginia Jackson of Winchester; one son. Hugh Eugene Allen ol West Chester, Pa., one sister, Bertha Brisco of White Post.

Miller

Robert S. Miller, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1979 at the Manassas Manor Nursing Home.

Funeral services were conducted February 3, from the Paul’s Funeral Home in Purcellville.

He was a native of Loudoun County and was predeceased by his wife, Louise Danner Miller, and two daughters.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Miller Jr., of Warrenton, and Charles Miller of Areola; five daughters, Mrs. Anna Clatterbuck of Flint Hill, Mrs. Louise Rogers of Purcellville, Mrs. Julia Myers of Charles Town, W. Va., Mrs. Florence Reed of Hamilton and Mrs. Josephine Kelly of Bluemont.

Carter

Mrs. Cassie Carter, of Washington, D.C., the wife of the late Lewis Carter died Feb. 5. 1979 at Washington, D.C.

She is survived by three daughters, Miss Ann L. Carter. Mrs. Mabel E. Brent, and Mrs. Ruth W. Brown, all of Washington, D.C.; six grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren, and one sister Mrs. Laura R. Jones of Washington, D.C.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Washington, Va. conducted by the Rev. R. C. Davis assisted by the Rev. W. R Grant. Relatives and friends may call at Joynes Funeral Home, Warrenton, Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
