With a heavy load ot government contracts, the war years were busy for Muth. But his overtime didn't end at the office or even with Rotary Club. He was a deputy air raid warden for Montgomery County, Maryland, chief of an air observation post and also served on the D. C. District Court’s rationing appeals board.
On top of all his special wartime volunteer efforts, he continued to donate his time as president of the Boy’s Club of Washington, D. C., vice-president of the Washington Society for the Blind, the National Capitol Area Council of the Boy Scoiits, of America and the National Travelers Aid Society and president of the _ Washington Travelers Aid.
