At last Thursday’s board meeting, the Rappahannock supervisors appointed a ninemember advisory council to evaluate a proposal for the county’s first agricultural andforestal district, applied for by C. E. “Ned” Johnson of Sperryville.
On, the council are Washington farmer and stockman Randall Updike, orchardist Sam Snead, farmer James Falls of Woodville and Flint Hill farmer' and orchardist Louis Moore. Other members are VPI extension agent Ra,p Owings, landowner and orchardist Jack Jenkins from Flint Hill, retired general and landowner Hugh Exton of Amissville and Howard Holschuh, landowner and civic activist from Castleton.
