To Hostages
A drive to let the American "hostages in Iran know they’ve not been forgotten at Christmas is underway. Radio stations across the country have picked up on an idea reportedly originated by a Chicago disc jockey and are urging their listeners to send Christmas cards to the captive Americans.
Standard-sized cards, measuring three and a half inches by five inches, can be sent airmail to Iran for 31 cents. The address is Hostages, U. S. Embassy, Box 50, 260 Taleghani Avenue, Tehran, Iran.
There is no guarantee that the terrorists holding the captive will allow the cards to be delivered. Thousands and thousands of mail bags will demonstrate national concern, however, regarding the state of the hostages.
