Paul Taylor, a weekend resident of Rappahannock County and an administrative officer with the Department of Defense, presented a colorful program of slides and commentary on his “hobby” of re-enacting Chril War episodes, to the Rappahannock Historical Society, Sundaynight.
Taylor’s “First NorthSouth Brigade,” comprising the 1st Virginia Regt and the 1st D. C. Regt. have staged “living history” performances over a wide area. from New' York to southern Virginia. Sometimes, other. “history, nuts,” as Taylor refers to them, add their talents, swelling the rolls to as many as 1,000 authentically uniformed and equipped Civil War soldiers and artisans.
The Rappahannock Historical Society is considering sponsoring one of Taylor’s pageants in the county next Labor Day weekend.
