Problems with ball handling appeared to make the major difference for the Panthers who turned the ball over on bad passes almost twice as many times as the Falcons did.
Gary Leake put in an outstanding effort, leading the team in scoring with 22 points and in rebounding with nine. Greg Bright was the only other Panther to hit double figures with 14 points and five rebounds. Scoring was divided evenly between the other team members with Jim Tomko tossing in nine points, Tony Waylnad eight points, Dean Wilson four points and Larry Settle and Tony Armentrout each adding two to the tally. In an earlier December 5 game against non-district opponent Clarke County High School, the Panthers won easily by a margin of 71 to 33. They lost a hard fought game against Madison on Tuesday night, December 11.
