Corbin
Services for William Ashby Corbin, 55, of Remington were conducted Tuesday at Culpeper National Cemetery.
Mr. Corbin died Friday, December 7, 1979 at his residence. Son of the late Albert Garke Corbin and the late Betty Jane Jenkins Corbin, he was a native of Rappahannock County. He was head custodian for Barcroft School in Arlington County, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by four brothers. Ora Corbin of Manassas, Raymond Corbin of Lake Jackson, Jack Corbin of Winchester and Edward Marshall Corbin of Amissville; and five sisters, Mrs. Dora Carter of Culpeper, Mrs. Lotis Weakley of Amissville, Mrs. Tissie Hawkins, Mrs. Mattie Whorton and Mrs. Josephine Whorton, all of Castleton.
Turner
Samuel E. Turner, formerly of Huntly, died Monday, December 3, 1979 in Harrisburg, Pa.
A funeral service was conducted Saturday at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill by the Rev. John R. Pendleton. Burial was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Flint Hill.
