The marriage of Miss dary Elizabeth McWhirt, laughter of Mr. and Mrs. rank Pratt McWhirt of 'alls Church and Amissville, o William Michael Murphy, on of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel, durphy, also of Falls Tiurch, took place Saturday, une 28. Escorted by her father, the >ride wore a formal gown of /hite organza designed with v-neckline and circular kirt which fell to a chapel rain. The bodice was nriched with Venice lace nd pearl appliques. Her lowers were a cascade of vhite silk gardenias, yellow oses and stephanotis. Mrs. Pamela McWhirt of :redericksburg was matron if honor for her sister-in-law. fer gown was of seafoam affeta with a chiffon overlay. The bridesmaids were Miss eannie Weller and Mrs. Diane Ferry of Richmond, rheir gowns of peach and irchid were identical to the tonor attendant's and they arried a bouquets of silk oses and baby’s breath. Robert Peters of Orlando, :la., was best man and ishers were Frank ichoeneman and Thomas Veller of Falls Church, datthew Pierce McWhirt. he bride's nephew, was ingbearer. The bride’s mother wore a ong long gown of mint green md corsage of white orchids, vlrs. Murphy chose a floor ength strawberry dress and natching orchid corsage.
After a trip to Cape Cod, Vlass., the couple will reside in Fredericksburg where the bride is employed with the Spotsylvania County School System and Mr. Murphy is an employee of Radley, Inc.
