The Guidance Department at RCHS sponsored a Career Day at Rappahannock County High School on April 28. The purpose of Career Day is to help students develop a better understanding of today’s business world. Also many students who have not decided what profession they would like to pursue were helped in making a decision by the different background material received for various occupations. Students were introduced to a wide variety of careers by representatives of the following professions: Health careers. Social work. Secretarial. Governmental Secretary. Navy, Army. Marines. Forestry. Agriculture, Law Enforcement. Real Estate. Banking. Photography. Postal service. Vepco. Food services. Federal Reserve Bank and Manufacturing. Representatives offered first-hand information about their profession: for example. Irooper StocktOn gave a demonstration of the different devices used in his car. He said to become a state trooper you must go to a two year college or be in the military, be at least 21 years
