rviiiiiuuna lawyer ana civic leader Andrew Jackson Brent has been named the recipient of the 1981 Distinguished Service Award of the Virginia State Chamber of Commerce. The award, the most prestigious bestowed by the Virginia Chamber, recognizes outstanding service to the citizens and businesses of Virginia. The presentation will be made today. May 7 at the Chamber’s 57th Annual Meeting at The Homestead.
He is a native of Richmond and brother of Mrs. W. A. Miller of Washington, Va. Mr. Brent received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Virginia, and served as a Naval Reserve officer during World War II. He has been a partner in the Richmond law firm Christian, Barton, Epps, Brent and Chappell since 1949.
