Wakefield Preparatory School’s 8th graders Lauren Wemmer and Joey Tisinger, first year Latin students, were among IS high school students from around the state to win special awards for their essays in the annual Latin Essay Contest sponsored by the Classical Association of Virginia. • - The thousand word essays had to be on the subject of the role of women in Roman Republican and Imperial society.
