Family Resource News

Anyone interested in learning how to quilt, please call the Extension Office at 675-3619. Classes will be held in the afternoon or evening - wherever there is more interest, and will be taught by Mrs. Lucy Thornhill of Boston. We will start out by making a pillow and continue from there.

4-H Livestock

Club Meets

The Rappahannock County 4-H Livestock Club held its monthly meeting on April 20 at the court house in Washington. Members discussed the mini-swine camp which will be held in Farmville, Virginia onr May 23 from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. On April 28, club sponsors David Thornhill and Randall Updike went to the Madison Livestock Market to buy pigs and lambs for the farm show scheduled in July. The 4-H Livestock Club’s next meeting will be May 18, 7:30 p.m., in the court house. Youngsters interested in loining are invited to attend.
