The Warrenton-Fauquier Jaycees are sponsoring a men’s open, ASAsanctioned softball tournament June 11-12 at four sites in Fauquier County with teams guaranteed four games Saturday in a bracketed event and the top two teams in each bracket advancing to a double elimination event Sunday.

Entry fee is $70 plus a playable ball and field in limited to first 25 teams to register by June (i. Checks should be made payable to Warrenton-Fauquier Jaycees and mailed to P.O. Box 508, Warrenton, Va. 22180.

Trophies will be awarded to top four teams in each bracket, top two teams in championship round. Most Valuable Player and individual championship team members.

There will be positively no alcoholic beverages allowed on playing fields or on school property, the Jaycees say, with violators to be prosecuted.

Trout Stocked

The Virginia Game Commission’s Fish Division will continue trout stocking operations during the first week of June. Area waterways scheduled to be stocked include:

—North and South Fork Moorman’s River in Albemarle County,

—South River in Greene County,

—Hughes River in Madison County,

—Big Stoney Creek in Shenandoah County.
