A. Yes, scenic, natural, historic and agricultural areas are preserved without expenditure of public revenue. The land continues under your private ownership and requires no public funds for support or maintenance. The easement is in perpetuity. Communities and private landowners can depend upon this land remaining as a natural area. And finally, your land benefits everyone’s natural resources of water and clean air, provides wildlife habitats, and establishes open space in perpetuity.
