After rain forced cancellation of games scheduled over the past month and a half, the Rappahannock Monarchs finally took to the field again on Sunday and trounced a Bergton, West Virginia, squad, 6-3.
The win brought the Monarchs to .500 for the season. putting them at 1-1 in the Apple Valley Baseball League.
1 Sunday’s victory was a complete team effort with outstanding performances turned in by David Clanagan, Festus Clanagan, William F. Carter and Haywood Turner.
