The Town Council and Mayor of Washington, Virginia, would like to publicly express their appreciation of the late Charlie Jenkins. Charlie served the town with distinction as a member of the Council and the manager of the water system for many years. His dedication to the town and cheerful manner made working with Charlie a pleasure. The town residents also recognized and appreciated his dedication as he received the most votes of any elected town official in at least two elections. He will always be fondly remembered by us and that memory will help us better govern our town.

To Dean's List
Robert G. Brents, Jr., of Sperryville, has been named to the Dean’s List at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University for the winter quarter.
To qualify for the Dean’s List at Tech, Brents earned a 3.4 average or better on the 4.0 grading scale. A sophomore, he is majoring in aerospace and ocean engineering.
