Plans are in the making for the May 14 visit of Mrs. Walter Huey King, President General NSDAR, who will attend the grave marking of David Jameson, patriot ancestor of Mrs. King.
The February 12 meeting will be held in the Culpeper United Methodist Church with Mrs. Brainard Charlton and Miss Sarah Frances Johnston of Madison as hostesses.

James Humes will deliver a performance entitled, “A Morning With Churchill” on Tuesday, January 22 at 2:30 p.m. at the Wakefield School. Humes, who is the author of the prizewinning biography, Churchill, Speaker of the Century, met the British Prime Minister in 1953 when he was a student in England and is a friend of the Churchill family. He has performed at the Smithsonian, the QE II, the White House and before members of the British Royal Family.
Humes, who was a White House speechwriter for three presidents, is the author of 10 books, including the best-selling How To Get Inmted to the White House. He also helped former President Ford write his memoirs, Time To Heal. A lawyer by profession, Humes has led a varied career as a diplomat, professor, magazine editor and state legislator.
Humes, who the Christian Science Monitor described as “one of the nation’s finest speakers” has lectured in 40 states and 16 foreign countries. The public is invited to attend the presentation in Wakefield’s auditorium.
