Charles Freeman
Retired Farmer
Charles Franklin Freeman, 75, of Washington, died Sunday, January 6 at Culpeper Health Care Center.
Mr. Freeman was a native of Rappahannock County and was a retired fanner.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Susan Freeman of Washington; one daughter, Martha Anna Freeman of Bronx, New York; two step-daughters, Lucy Reece of Bronx, New York and Dorothy Clanagan of Cummberland, Md; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, Robert Freeman of Washington and three sisters, Nancy Pointer, Betty Copeland and Mary Rachel Fleet, all of Washington, D.C.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday at the Promise Land Baptist Church in Washington by the Rev. John Pendleton of Flint Hill. Burial was in the family section of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Washington.
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Martha Williams

Mrs. Martha Lou Williams, 71, of Massanutten Manor, Strasburg, died Thursday, January 10 in Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Willis Chapel United Methodist Church at Huntly by the Rev. Merlin Shorb. Burial was in Willis Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born October 28, 1913, in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Annie North Cameron. She was married to the late Winter Williams.
Surviving are a son, Richard Williams of Ashbum; a brother, William E. Cameron of Huntly; three sisters, Dorothy Beaty of Woodbridge, Mary Ann Spiker of Bunker Hill, West Virginia and Nannie Poe of Hume; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.
