A'wetfare fraud case was also decided on Monday. Sandra Grayson pled guilty to the misdemeanor charge of welfare fraud and entered into a plea agreement on the charge. The maximum sentence that can be imposed on the charge is 12 months in jail and/or $l,09Q/ne.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke recommended that the court follow the terms of the plea agreement which would suspend the 12 month jail sentence and impose no fine. Luke said that he recommended the agreement in view of C yson’s previous clean record.
