William Kite

County Native

William Arthur Kite, 82, of Culpeper, died Tuesday, February 26 at Culpeper Health Care Center.

A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late John and Mary Smith Kite. He was a retired farmer and an automobile dealer. Mr. Kite was a member of the Culpeper United Methodist Church, past president of Culpeper Chamber of Commerce, past president of Board of Directors for Northern Piedmont Electric Cooperative and a 60 year mason with Fairfax Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Green Hite of Culpeper; two sons, Donald M. Kite and Raymond R. Kite, both of Culpeper; four grandchildren; one great grandchild and two sisters, Frances Coons of Falls Church and Gladys Kite of Culpeper.

Funeral services were conducted at the Clore Fuenral Home Chapel on Friday by the Rev. Marvin Cook and the Rev. John Farrar. Burial was in the Culpeper Masonic Cemetery.
