Class reunion planned

Air Force band concert
The United States Air Force Tactical Air Command Band from Langley AFB will appear in concert on Wednesday, August 5 a., 8 p.m. at the Culpeper County High School. Sponsored by The CulpeperPiedmont Choral Society, this concert is one of several special events to take place during Culpeper Heritage Days in early August. Wine fest Aug. 1 in Culpeper
The First Heritage Fest Wine Festival and Winery Olympics will be held at Dominion Wine Cellars in Culpeper on Saturday, August 1. Events will include winery tours, tastings, a British Motor Club exhibit, the Orange Cloggers, a full day of bluegrass and folk music and the Winery Olympics. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Winery Olympics will kickoff at 6 p.m. with local businesses competing in barrel races, waiters’ races, grape stomping and uncorking competitions. Admission will include a souvenir wine glass, tastings, tours, cheese and crackers, all entertainment and the Olympic games. Gate admission will be $5, under 21 admitted free. Heritage Days at Skyland
Sky land Lodge in Shenandoah National Park will host the fourth annual “Mountain Heritage Days” July 25th and 26th.
The two-day event will feature live entertainment such as clogging, dulcimer performances, guitar and banjo playing of old-time favorites. Local crafters demonstrating their skills at basket weaving, candle and soap making, honey making, chair caning, weaving, and much more will be on hand to show visitors how the people lived years ago.
Children will be entertained with a magic show, coloring contests, storytime, and other activities.
Park Naturalist programs for visitors of all ages will also be held during the day. i
Festivities riun 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
