Valley will have speakers from the U.S. Geological Survey, Water Control Board, Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy, Department of Waste Management, Department of Health, Virginia Tech and the Clarke County government.
The program will include discussions on the nature and use of ground water, protection options, and tools that local governments may use for protection.
Waldon R. Kerns, Virginia Tech Extension specialist in charge of the program, said that since there is no charge for the seminar, arrangements are being made for a “Dutch treat” luncheon.
