Jesse Jenkins
Jesse Franklin Jenkins, 74, of Stephens City, died July 20 in the Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Jenkins was born July 19, 1913 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Amos Franklin and Ila Nicholson Jenkins. He was a retired carpenter.
Surviving are his wife, Susie Smith Jenkins; one daughter Susie J. Kuser of Front Royal; one brother, Joseph Jenkins of WinstonSalem, N.C.; three sisters, Della Pyne of Front Royal, Mary Slyman and Nellie Balman, both of Orange and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held July 22 at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home, Front Royal, with the Rev. B. L. Lock officiating. Burial was in the Refuge Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Andrews, Leon Strosnider, Scott Strosnider, Todd Strosnider, Roy Pounds and Richard Loy.
Honorary pallbearers were Nelson Clevinger, Boyd Omdorff, Wilber Strosnider, Shelton Weakley and Harry Burroughs.
