RAAC discusses future
The Rappahannock Association for. the Arts and the Community has appointed a committee to study how the organization can besj; continue to fulfill the needs of the community in the area of the performing arts ^hd related activities. The committees, ^haired by Sid Gottlieb, is meeting each Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Individuals and organizations are invited to call Mr. Gottlieb to arrange for an appointment to speak with the committee. He may be reached at 547-3934. He said the committee expects to continue the weekly meetings for at least the next several months. Arts grants awarded
The Virginia Commission for the Arts announced that it has awarded grants for the first half of 1990.. Among the recipients were the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community, which received a $10,000 support grant, and the Golden Key Performance Group, which received an arts support grant for $5,140. The Virginia Commission is the state agency which supports the arts in the Commonwealth through funding from the Virginia General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts. -
