G) Soil types and drainage conditions on two or three lots appear not to be satisfactory for septic drain fields. Goal “M” in the town’s Comprehensive Plan is; “To make soil conditions including erosion control, building stability, and safe waste disposal a determining factor in land use decisions.” Was the county soil map considered? This soil map is incorporated in to the Comprehensive Plan by reference. Comprehensive Plan finding C, page 27, recognizes we have no public sewer system nor will there be one in the foreseeable future.
H) Washington has considerable undeveloped areas where the soil types are not satisfactory for septic systems. As these areas are developed we have a very clear potential sewage problem. We must protect the soils and groundwater so that a public sewer system is not mandated by health officials.
