Many activities are planned by the Amissville Scouts to celebrate Scout Month. On Monday, February 5, the Boy Scouts (ages 10 1/2 to 18) will hold their monthly meeting from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Bethel Baptist. Scoutmaster Butch Zindel welcomes new members. Call him at 937-5703 for details.
On Tuesday, February 6, the Cub Scouts (grades 1 through 5) will hold their weekly meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. at United Methodist. New members are welcomed. Call Dixie or Boosie Dodson at 937-5218 for details.
On Sunday, February 11, the Cub Scouts will attend church services at Amissville United Methodist in recognition of Scout Sunday.
On Saturday, February 10, Cub Scouts Pack 50 will hold its annual Blue and Gold Banquet at the fire hall.
On Monday, February 5, the Amissville Homemakers Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Amissville Baptist. Helen Smith, Rappahannock Extension Agent, will present a program on inexpensive decorating with sheets and towels. Everyone is invited, especially prospective new members. It's a girl!
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lynn Jenkins of Unionville are proud to announce the birth of a daughter, Kelly Michelle, born Jan. 25 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville. She weighed six pounds, 15 1/2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Skowronski of Washington.
Paternal grandparents are Mr. Abby Jenkins of Sperryville and Mrs. Rena Mae Jenkins of Culpeper.
