The School House Restaurant and Inn presents “One of the Gang” on Friday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. The mystery is set in the roaring twenty’s and is styled after the infamous St. Valentine Day massacre. Life drawing workshop
The Middle Street Gallery Artists’ Cooperative has resumed its Life Drawing Workshop on Thursday evenings, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This is an open workshop with no instructor, but a model provided. Bring your own art supplies. Fee is $10. For additional information call 675-3440.

Rappahannock County High School announces Adult Education classes starting in February. Two 30-hour classes, Applications of Microcomputers and Welding will be taught on Monday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Classes will begin on Feb. 26 and continue through May 7. Tuition for each class is $39. Please contact the school between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to preregister. Enrollment is limited.
Duke exhibit opens
Oil painter Teresa Duke will open her exhibition, “First Time Out,” at Middle St. Gallery in Washington on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Regular gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday through Sunday. Ms. Duke’s exhibition will hang through Feb. 25.
Stories and drama at CCLC
Animal Stories from Around the World, Creative Drama for Children will be held Saturday afternoons beginning Feb. _1Q through . March 24. The class will focus on play and creativity through storytelling, movement and singing. The classes will be led by Catherine Kiley at the Child Care and Learning Center. For children ages 4-7 class will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. and cost $50; 2:30-4:30 p.m. will be for ages 812 years old and cost $60. For more information call 937-5971.
Kiser's talk rescheduled
John W. Kiser III will speak at the Gay Street Theater on Friday, Feb. 23 on “Communist Entrepreneurs: Unknown Innovators in the Global Economy.” Mr. Kiser is a technology-broker who has traveled throughout the Communist bloc in search of technologies to sell to the West. His book, of the same name, is an exploration of the inventive, and creative entrepreneurs who, for years, have defied the stereotype of Communist countries as stultifying and unsuited to innovation and technological advancement. Mr. Kiser’s talk, co-sponsored by RAAC and the Rappahannock County Public Library, will begin at 8 p.m. There is no admission charge.
