Ebba Heflin
Ebba Elfray Heflin, 75, of Warrenton died Jan. 18 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Towson, Maryland.
Mrs. Heflin was born May 26, 1914 in Rappahannock County and was employed as a clerk in Nina’s 5 & 10 Store, Warrenton. She was a member of Warrenton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sisters, Mary Pearson of Warrenton, Ruby Smith of Amissville, Iva Sharp of Manassas and Phyllis Farmer of Manchester, Md.
Funeral services were held at Moser Funeral Home on Jan. 21 with the Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. C. W. Trenum officiating. Burial was in Amissville Methodist Church Cemetery.
Rixey Wharton
Mr. Rixey Lee Wharton, 74, of Culpeper, died January 23, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Rappahannock County.
Survivors include his wife, Lena McDonald Wharton of Culpeper; two brothers, Harry L. Wharton of Reva, Marshall Wharton of Culpeper; one sister, Marie Cooke of Culpeper; and a number of nieces and nephews.
His parents were the late Edward and Ida Wharton.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elwood and Kelly Wharton and one sister, Tessie Stringfellow.
